Coventry City has won the football cup.

And a Scotsman has won Wimbledon as well.

The European super league concept failed, so the decision was made to ultra monetize the Premier league. Money tends to ruin sports and gambling removes a lot of the magic.

In the UK the support passion felt for ultra local teams is immense and culturally very different from North American, This Liverpool support demonstrating against the 'greedy bastards' of the super league architects speaks volumes.

The Championship is far more representative of English football - premier league clubs are stocked several players deep in each position and the fact the team is called 'Liverpool' or 'Chelsea' is becoming increasingly meaningless as oligarchs take over the bigger clubs. There is little difference between PSG, Bayer Munich or Man Utd, they are full of international players and the big prize is the Champions league in europe.

The quality of play is astounding but the soul is being sucked out, PL ticket prices are ridiculous and there is less singing by wealthy tourist supporters than in the lower leagues which are still nominally working class.
