I respectfully disagree, Dana. A loss would mean that Ben Franklin had it right when he said...

"A republic, if you can keep it."

This occurred shortly after a woman asked Franklin what kind of government the delegates had created. The quote highlights the fragility of democracy and the constant need for citizens to be vigilant in their defense.

Democracy is being attacked by the world's most effective con man and inveterate liar. A Trump victory would confirm democracy's fragility, Dana, not that it was a "crock."

Let's hope that enough citizens successfully repel Trump's assault.
